tiny little thing that makes BIG problem

Don't laugh.. please.. I mean it!

I have tryed to get this tiny little pin out on one of my Lugers.. I have done it before, but on this one it is VERY stuck!!

I can't see any damage on it, and it looks like an original pin.. anyone with some tips? ..or does someone take the challenge?

Use very small drift pin and it will come out, there is no top "flange" is will drift out either top or bottom, and it really is not under much spring tension, and it is a long way to send it to me to do!

I have tryed to knock it out with a tool I made from another pin with the same diameter.. with no luck

I can't understand how that small thing can be so hard to get out! Can it be stuck on the inside?

You could have rust that you are not seeing, really just a small pin punch and a very small ball peen hammer it should come out, wish I could be of better help.

Perhaps you should try knocking it out with a pin of SMALLER diameter.

Soak it in Kroil or another good penetrating oil for a day or so. Never taken that piece apart before, but it shouldn't be hard.

Thanks for the advice! The piece is now in very thin oil.
I don't think it's the size of the tool that is wrong.. Going to give it one more try tomorrow, if the pin is still stuck, it's a job for a gunsmith (or perhaps a fellow forum member take the challange for $ or a few ekstra Luger parts

)
