Black Widow Tack Driver
Just got back from the range and my recently aquired byf 41 performed flawlessly grouping 1 1/2" at 10 yards and within the 8 ring at 25 yards (5 rounds). What a joy to shoot! mm

Re: Black Widow Tack Driver
My girlfriends S/42 1936 with a very very pitted bore shoots with swedish subgun ammo 2" groups at 25 meters.
THe bore is so pitted that you can't see any difference betwen groves and lands. My own gun with a heavy custombarrel shoots within an 1" at 25 meters, both with jacketed and lead bullets. In my opinion the Luger pistol and the SIG P210 pistols are the most accurate pistols ever massproduced. Regards HÃ?Â¥kan Spuhr http://www.vapensmedjan.com |

Re: Black Widow Tack Driver
Typically a 41 or a 42 dated chamber Mauser toggle code byf with black plastic grips (on about 20% of them) This was simply a marketing tactic employed and the phase was coined by Ralph Shattuck (he tells me) It really worked. These guns have a black salt blued finish, black grips, and all blued (black color) small parts (trigger, safety lever, take down lever. Some of the 1940 vintage (a very few) and 41/42 Lugers had them also! But primiarly the byfs with black grips are a "Black Widow" This was an American invention and had German basis at all! German collectors say "Huh?" sometimes whne you mention the term! Thor

I'm gonna post it, along with the picture, in the Frequently Asked Questions.

Re: Thats why God invented whiskey!......
I'm half German/half Irish, don't know if I liek Irish Whiskey better or German Bier! I think da Beer! Used to dabble in brewing my own! A nice Doppel Bock! Been toying with they idea of making some mead, I know how, and I have enjoyed some a friend made and he flavored it with peaches! He said, "Don't know if I call it PEED or MEACH" I said "go with the MEACH! I could brew up some Luger LAGER! Thor (I know.....me wings are showing)
