Default Very Disappointed!!

Hey Guys,

I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel my trip to Reno. My Wifes last radiation treatment is today, but she is so weak, she can barely walk. It's finally catching up to her. She will recover rapidly after the last treatment, but not rapidly enough for me to be away from her.

I am deeply disappointed about not being able to attend the dinner and meet everyone, but I have to attend to her recovery.

Sadly, Ron

There will always be other gun shows. I agree that your wife is more important. I wish that she recovers rapidly.

Ron, I totally understand, and was concerned after we spoke last night!

You will be missed, but being there for Dee is far more important!

I was really looking forward to meeting you, but there will be other times. Take care of the love of your life, we all wish her a speedy and complete recovery.
Best of luck,
Ron

Ron the only thing that is important is your lovely lady. Gun shows come and go. Be
home for her. We are blessed when we have someone like that.

Thanks Guys!
I've been trying to be positive about it. I guess things just work out the way they were meant to be. For now I'll just continue being the Hop-a-long motor-mouth I've been to most of you.

Ed, I was trying to be as upbeat as I could be, last night on the phone. I guess I did'nt shine at it , Huh?

I am not by nature, a people person. Never really cared much for most people. I have had only a handfull of close friends.(by choice. I'm not that obnoxious.) I'm not anti-social, just A-social. But I will have to say that just from talking to the people on this forum, and the few I have talked to on the phone. I feel closer to you guys than I ever thought I would to anyone whom I've never met. And I hope eventually to meet most of you. This and Jan Still's Forum are the most highly civilized, intelligent, friendly and close knit forums on the internet. And I truly hope they continue to be!

We truly are a separated band of brothers. Highly proffessional, willing to help, wanting to learn, and eager to teach.

Thanks Again, Ron

Ron, you sounded fine last night, but I could "read" between the lines and knew you were tired and all

Thanks Everyone,

She's a tough old girl. She will be fine as soon as she gets her strength back. She's gone through something that I don't believe I could have survived.

The best first wife I've ever had. She puts up with my Harley-Davidson(even though she refuses to ride with me) and my guns. And as long as I don't shed or claw the furniture , she lets me sleep inside. You can't ask for much more.

Tac, I was looking forward to meeting one of Her Majesty's Finest , but hopfully some other time. I sincerely hope that you and your wife enjoy your visit. Try to keep these slackers in line.

Rod and Russ, Thankyou!

Norm, Go ahead and pull the cork. Just leave me a shot.

Ron

Hi Ron..........I do not post very many items, but I will now.
I know the feeling of owning a Harley and the wife not wanting to ride, but we seem to agree that if it's what I like then it's ok.
It seems that you are going to miss a great time . If any of the "boys" are NAPCA members you could plan on meeting at the annual meeting in Aug.
And for those who are not members it is a very benificial organization and now is the time to join , this would be a chance for us all to meet and to see some very rare lugers.

My familys prayers are with you

Leo

I know how that weakness is when dealing with cancer. My mother had advanced breast cancer before telling anyone about it or getting it even looked at. I just couldn't believe the weakness that accompanies cancer.

My prayers are with you and your wife.

Ron,

I was hoping to see you at the Reno show since it's much easier for me to drive the 600 miles to Reno than the 100 miles to Eugene.

Maybe it's all the yellow and green clothing combinations in Eugene, I prefer the orange and black (class of '70).

All gayety aside, my best wishes for your wifes quick recovery. We will miss your keen wit and extensive knowledge. And I will let you know the next time I am going to be in Eugene. I do have a niece and nephew there and we should visit them one of these days.

Best wishes for you and your wife,
Bob M.
