Hi Chris,

Welcome to the ward.

You have an S/42 Russian capture. Reworked by the Russians. The /\ is probably an incomplete poorly struck X. A Russian acceptance proof. SOG's Lugers are Russian imports. The Mauser proof on the barrel was put there as a barrel proof or acceptance mark during assembly.
If it's a good shooter, that's a plus. Some think that Russian reworks will become collectable in their own catagory eventually.
