Default How about this one?

Have taken Edwards advice and am looking in posts on this forum and local shops for my first shooter, haven't seen anything yet. How about http://www.auctionarms.com/Search/Di...ItemNum6330863 seems like an honest rep. although possibly not 75%. Have emailed for other pictures which haven't arrived. Has good feedback. Maybe in the 700+ range? I see Jim Royston has 1 in the for sale forum, but I'm not in Texas. Thanks,John.

Thanks Pete. As well as being a newbie, I am computer illiterate. I've updated my profile and am in Houma, La. If anyone is in the area, Let me know.

It'll be interesting to see where the price goes on this one, over $750 I'd wager.

Given the description of all matching, including the mag, I'd treat it as better than a shooter, even though it's not a 'collectors' piece, (yet.....)

Should anyone on the forum buy it, I've a very nice 'nearly' matching east german BYF 41 I'd be happy to do a trade on, which would make an excellent shooter

(I've a soft spot for Erfurts, but no cash to buy right now !)

I like those Erfurts too! But mostly have those DWM's...

Ed, we'll need to go shopping together soon. I've found a few Erferts in our area that would make nice additions to your collection. For a first luger I'd rather have an all matching 50% or better S/42 I could show without embarrassment, shoot without gilt or worry and eventually send to Thor without regret.

Ask the folks at Old Sac Amoury about their 3-day return policy...

Pete and all, Sent email to owner of pistol @ guns america and one other. Both sold before I received a reply. I bid 800 on the Erfurt at Auction Arms and did not meet Reserve. Waiting for possible haggle, but will not be back until Fri. The seller may be on this forum. I'll have to decide how badly I want it without it weakening my better judgement.

Patience is a virtue... Hard to live with I know, but it is amazing how often a nice luger will come to you. Might be 6 months, but it happens. I caught hell from my wife, because I am not supposed to be buying guns and two came to me within the last couple of months... Nice for me, but I still caught hell. I know I deserved it, but they are in my safel!
