Colt 1911A1?

Thank you Mr. Tinker,
This sounds like what is on the colt now and I think the person I bought from was trying to make a WWII era setup with the Rand slide.(I just love old guns). Will the Lugerdoc have any proper era clips do you think? I will look to see if I can find the book here in town to add to my collection.

Now it's on to buying more Lugers (trying for an Artillery this time) maybe a shooter or maybe, just maybe, a collectable grade.
