Default rear sight business? Cost to high, market to small!

I know everyone would love to have a high quality Luger navy rear sight, but the real world part of the equation is that a HIGH QUALITY navy rear sight would be extremely expensive to produce! Then, there is another problem, in that as soon as a rare repro. is available, in any quantity at all, the interest goes away....and the hunt continues for the expensive original. Which I have no problem with, it is just that a guy, who just spent tens of thousands of dollars to tool up for the part, is left with a lot of inventory to move, and a limited market to move it in. In my personal opinion, I believe that the navy rear sight on ebay, is going to be worth every penny it brings.....I have been chasing navy sights for years, and the one on ebay is a bargin right now!

At least I'd like to have it! I'd also like to make them to, but they are way out of my league! You would have a hell of a head start with an 80 year old German master machinest on your side, anyone got one of those hanging around! till...later...G.T.
