This ties in with the info I have.

Pete, I'm looking forward to hearing from your new books.

There's an interesting thing with the 1882 of the top picture: all parts (including trigger, gate and hammer) are blued like the 82/29 but unlike most other 1882s. The Rutsch book mentions some fully blued M1882 4th version but no 3rd. According to the former owner who inherited it from his father (the first owner), the gun has never been reworked. Has anybody got an explanation for this mistery?
