Look at the fired brass and see if it is still smooth, or if it has an almost sanded look. Sounds more like you have a rusty or rough chamber. If the brass is not still smooth after firing I would use 4/0 steelwool on a cleaning rod to polish the chamber. Pull the bolt back and with a flashlight look into the chamber for evidence of the rust or roughness.
