All the written information that I have come across says that the Tokarev ammo is too hot for a Mauser. A couple of people have posted on this forum that they destroyed their Mausers by using it. I have not shot any myself so I do not know from first hand experience and do not intend to get any either. I gave up on finding Mauser ammo locally and reload my own from Starline brass. Search for previous posts on loading and such. There is also a website www.north-westdenture.com that has an extensive loading chart. Good luck and be safe!

I have also heard of bad expeiences with surplus Mauser ammo from eastern Europe but again have no first hand knowledge or experience with it.

Tom Heller usually has ammo if you do not reload. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
