Decent Shooter on Auction...

It does look OK, but the escalation in prices really is stupefying. A little over a year ago, I bought a mismatched 41/42 in terrific condition, excellent bore, with fine grips, and very good bluing and strawing, for $575.00. A few weeks ago, someone offered me $800.00 for it, without having seen a photo. By New Year's it might see four-figures, at this rate.

Artillery prices are out of control. Ted Green believes the mismatched Erfurt Artillery shooter he just masterfully reblued and restrawed for me (see Mark Mansour's Erfurt string under Artillery Lugers) might fetch as much as $1,700.00 and maybe more. Based on what I have seen the past few weeks, I am now convinced he is right on target.
