Hello Tom,
LF member, James, has this holster for sale in the WTS section...along with a P-08 (non-Navy). Regards, Pete... |

Saw that; would love to buy the holster but not interested in the pistol. As he is getting inquireies, I doubt he will split the rig.

"REVSHOP" of Midwest is the only bidder at $200.00 (reserve not met) and he doesn't usually risk his funds on something that might be bogus... just my observation...

Hi Sid,
I would certainly ask the seller to send a few detailed photos before bidding...especially of the Navy marking and the WaA stamping. Based on this seller being in Portsmouth. OH and selling lots of gun stuff, I would wager the seller is associated with the folks at FGS, Inc....an outfit with good solid reputations amongst most folks... I do not know if the inside of the holster flap is typically dyed black or whether this may have been done by a subsequent owner. I would email one of our Navy folks before bidding... Regards, Pete... |

Folks,
That holster is a mess. First of all, the internal parts (Key pouch and AWOL cleaning rod strap) indicate it is NOT K-date. Secondly, some moron decided to improve it by dyeing the inside black. Thirdly, the bucket contour looks wrong; too square for a navy. I'd buy it for $ 50 as a parts source to send to Jerry B. but that's about all. Tom A. |
