Generally all German Military holsters made before 1940 will have the full name of the maker, city and date present. Police holsters continued this practice through out WW2. It is a bit unusual to find such on post 1940 military (WaAed) ones, but appearantly some makers either didn't get the word or DGaS. Tom H.
