Be really careful when you say you don't buy anything with an import stamp. That's a pretty generic statement. I recently purchased a pistol from a Canadian. He bought it from the relative of a Canadian Vet. It has all the credentials of one that could be purchased in the US, but it had to be imported, thus an import stamp.
