Being the Admin geek on this site, I thought I would explain why many of you thought Philip was member #800 when he really wasn't.
The reason is that the member number statistic shown in the upper right corner of the discussion forum page increments every time a new member submits a registraton application, but the name under it does not increment until those applications waiting in the registration queue have been approved by one of the Site Administrators... Often there are several names awaiting approval at the same time and when an Admin approves a bunch of folks at one time (after carefully reviewing their registration information) only the last person's name gets updated to the statistic page... Computers! I make my living with them and even I get frustrated with how meticulous and sequential they are... <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> To paraphrase Henry Higgins --- Why can't a computer system... be more like me?
