Just thought I'd mention again a great book called "War of the Rats" that has a very accurate depiction of the german assault on Stalingrad and a duel between germany's best sniper and russia's Zaitsev. That movie is called "Enemy at the gates" and is quite good also, but doesn't do the book justice. Just read it again in fact.
