The Germans used Ordnance Codes to signify manufacturers. As Herb pointed out fxo stood for Haenel, as byf and svw signified Mauser. Mauser from 1941 through 1944 was byf and in 1945 it was changed to svw. Perhaps a way to confuse the point of manufacture of military items. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
