Well, I went to the range yesterday and met Dwight Gruber. All that I had were cartriges with soft lead tips. They did not feed at all in either the stainless gun or a new Interarms Mauser. Both guns were very accurate but would not chamber the lead tipped cartriges at all. I will try to get some FMJ cartriges and give them a try.

When I get home, I will see if Dwight sent me the pictures that he took to show both the new pistol and his 1900 next to it. They give an interesting comparison. Until I get home and can forward the pictures, all that I can say is lead tip bullets do not work! I will order some Winchester rounds and see if I can contact a loader that I have purchased from in the past.
