Stainless Steel

Hi! I'm new to the forum. I own several guns, but no Lugers. I've always liked the new stainless steel ones,and have calling some local gun stores asking about buying a brand new one. They've been telling me they haven't been made for the last few years, some have never even heard of them. From what some of guys are saying it sounds like the guns are still being made. If they are shouldn't a gun store or stores,one of which has been in the buisness for over 30 years, be able to order me one?
