The two that I have ordered since 2000 both came with no stock lug bulge. I asume that is now the standard configuration. As Dwight pointed out, the area where the lug would be is well finished but is flat while the strap above it is rounded. This would indicate that it may be cast with the bulge and then latter ground off. Since the original moulds had the lug, this may be cheaper than making new moulds. High precision molds are VERY expensive to make. On the last one I bought, I had the choices of with or without grip safety and with standard flat toggles or dished toggles. I like the idea of the walnut case!
