Some Good News-Xcept Kalifornia

I am ashamed to admit to you all that I am a Native of California and that I have lived and worked here the majority of my 42 years with the exception of my time in The Corps.
I have spent the last 17 in Law Enforcement and have decided that in 8 years and 3 month's I will leave this state to the left wingers and the wackos and begin my life in a free state where gun owners are not vilified nightly/daily in the press and on the t.v.......
I will be 50 and have 25 years with my Dept. and be ready to retire, so I guess on 1/01/2011 I will be a former resident of the Demoncratic Repulsiveness of California, it was a good place to grow up in before the late 60's and the 70's came to be.
Anybody got a small place away from big cities you can recommend ?
By the way, I live less than 45 minutes from the state capitol, never have liked being that close to a cesspool !!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
