G.L.�´s 08 Cartridge
The Prussian G.P.K., DWM and Georg Luger developed the original Patrone 08 (DWM 1908) as follows:
Case Length: 19mm (since increased to 19.15mm), Bullet Weight: 8 Grammes (123.44 Grains), Truncated Cone FMJ Bullet, Initial Velocity: 327 m/sec (length of barrel: 100mm). Charge: 0.36 Grammes of Nitro (5.555 Grains!) |
