I've had that done. Hurts like hell but you'll get over it. When I came out from being in never never land the first thing that I realized was that the pain in my legs was gone. Then the other pain set in. Lasted a few weeks. I do not regret in the least having it fixed. The quicker you get up and moving afterward the better off you'll be. I started walking the next day. I wish you the best but have no doubt it will be ok. Contact me anytime offline for a sympathetic "been there done that and got over it" opinion.
