Stu,
I just skim read the Cledes site and generally regarded it as a bit naive and not truely factual. But it may have some interesting other sites to visit after I read it more fully. But I agree that that site does not compare to the Lugerforum.

The lugerforums strength is that it accomodates newbies so well. These new people are our future gun collectors. They are sometimes afraid to ask questions in person because they might look stupid. And some may not be that familiar with computers.

I found Jan Stills site to be pretty good. The more I read his stuff the more I am impressed with his data gathering for his books. Man, where did he find all those Lugers he used in his books? But his site covers more guns than just the Luger and I suspect that he may be trying to associate himself with the NAPCA (AutoMag). The AutoMag has often thought about going online and saving mailing costs.

The AutoMag has some great articles. But it can be difficult following a discussion and the pictures can only be in black and white. These pictures can be quite fuzzy at times. But then again, some old time gun collectors don't have computers and others have one but are terrified of them for a number of reasons.
