Post Value of 1917 Luger artillery Model

I Have a very nice artillery model Luger shows a 1917 date, Low Serial #9--. It has a bright bore & 85% or more bluing left, all matching numbers. It has a ajustable rear sight to 800 meters, number on sight matches also. Grips are in excellant shape. It Does have a mismatched Mag. it is numbered with a wood end piece. Please give me a estimate of its value. This Luger is marked DWM on Toggle. I don't know a lot about Lugers ,but brought a collection of three lugers and mauser broomhandle from a friend who wanted to dispose of them before he past on ,so his wife would not have to try and do so.I believe this is a military model and has what is described as a fine sight Thanks Lyman

Hi Lymie. I believe you may get a better estimate if you could post some pictures. Also, you might want to check out the proof marks on the gun against the reference material on the site. Similarly, there is often a suffix letter after the serial number which might be useful.

As I'm sure you appreciate, values range widely dependant on a variety of factors, and I don't believe there's enough information so far to estimate a value.

Pictures are the best stimulus for generating some opinions !

Lymie,

There is an excellent tutorial in the Site Help & Feedback forum by Ed Tinker... It should answer all your questions about posting photos for display on the forum.

It really isn't that difficult...Once you get the hang of it, it is just like holding a Luger in your hand... a perfect fit.
