Post sending a gun

Hello,

I have 1944 byf k98 I want to ship from Massachusetts to Ohio. Do I need to have a Curios and Relics license for this? or if the person buying the gun sends me his. Is that sufficient? Curious who to shipping service to ship threw and if there will be a problem

Hi Orvis. You don't need a license to ship a gun, just the recipient. As it's a C&R weapon if the buyer has an 03 license that's fine. Make sure you have a signed copy of it, the shipper may ask to see it.

The USPS allows long guns to be shipped by individuals, and that can be a cost effective option.

Try packing it up and then go to the different web sites for UPS FEDEX etc and price it out, they all have online rate calculation.
