MAUSER Info?

Sights on long barreled Lugers and Mausers going out to 500 or 1000 meters are not as crazy as they sound. The idea was to shoot at the other guy's position while clearing or reloading the machine gun etc. You cant't expect to hit much but on the other hand it encourages the other guy to keep his head down and not make trouble. So the expected accuracy was just to put it in the area of the other guy's trenches.
