Post Charles Bronson's Luger

While channel surfing I ran across a movie called "Family" starring Charles Bronson, filmed in 1970. There was a good shootout scene with Charlie blasting away with his Luger, so I caught it with my trusty digital camera.

Actually, judging from the large looking bore it could be .45 caliber!

This movie is also dubbed "Violent City" in other countries and is available from Amazon in DVD and VHS. I dont remember this one too much! It is on my look out list.

The muzzle of Bronson's luger looks like a standard 9mm to me, but it's quite probable, if the movie actually shows him shooting this luger, that a restrictor has been screwed into the muzzle, to allow cycling with 9mm movie blanks. I made up several of these while living in California. Tom H.

The movie was a real "cheapy" and was filmed in Italy, then given different names for various countries. It was also dubbed in a number of languages.

Might as well include "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Dirty Dozen". I know I sure looked at Wildeys differently after "Death Wish 3"...
