Funny as it sounds, I can actually see Goering with that Bonzo the Clown pistol. He was a strange bird. The extent of his addiction to morphine isn’t clear, but Speer mentions in his autobiography that he looked glassy eyed a time or two. Three very well documented incidents about the former leader of the Luftwaffe also attest to his odd behavior. Hermann loved to play with huge toy train sets. He once showed up for a OKW meeting dressed as a medieval warrior, with a cloak, a spear and wearing ornate sandals with his toe nails painted red. And one notorious incident in 1944, he ordered his personal train stopped on the main Paris line, along with all the other military trains on that line, so he could take a bath without the water splashing around too much.
