Hi To all! FINIALLY received the test block from my machinest to wring out in the testing stage.... the block dimensions are great and I was able to accomplish all the functions that were designed into the fixture... the tool works wonderfully in conjunction with the mandrel that I offered previously, as it give one some purchase when tapping out dents and moving metal... it happens with very little effort using a smooth face hammer and a brass or copper drift... There was one major process modification that was necessary for the original primary function of the tool, and that is the necessary addition of spring steel strips that MUST be used as protective shims/spacers when driving out the mag. follower button... this operation is most tricky. Even under the best conditions, it has a little more monkey motion involved, but when done correctly, even the most stubborn button can be removed without marking the shell! With the addition of the steel strips, (I'm planning on six strips per tool, 2 X .010, 2 X .020, 2 X .025 or .030,) we will probably skip the heat treat, but we'll see? It is impossible with out them! I will have more info soon as my machinist has left Sunday open as the production window date.... Best to all, til....lat'r....GT
