Repro Grips Quality?

A little while ago, someone posted about buying a set of quality reproduction walnut Luger grips from CMR International Classic Arms Company (of Kent England)at about one-half the price of the currently available Nil Grips.

The poster seemed quite happy with the quality of his new grips, particualrly with the quality of the workmanship around the safty area (always a problem area).

I own a pair of the Nil Grips. They fit the pistol quite nicely, but do have a very different "feel" to them, as their sharp checkering bites into your hand when you shoot the pistol in a slightly uncomfortable mannor.

Also, when I got them, they were as black as the night, having been soaked in oil for some time. As I haven't used them enough to really get the oil level down to normal, I really can't tell you just what the grain of these grips looks like.

I have been in contact with CMR regarding the purchase of a pair of their grips, and should be hearing back from them shortly.

Perhaps, we can inquire from other forum members regarding their experiences with the CMR grips and make an informed decision accordingly.
