Magazine on E-bay
This kind of goes with the thread of the Erfurt magazine just discussed.
Wanted to ask others their opinions on something I came across. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 This auction was for a magazine that was very close to a luger I have, mine is 6441 and this one was 6461... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> How much extra would you be willing to pay for a serial number very close to yours? Or be willing to pay for an exact match? Ed

Would not pay extra for getting close, but would pay top dollar if it was an exact match, and I wanted it real bad.....BTW, I got a vert minty near unused Erfurt clip 100% wood, body, plating just shows a few signs of being inserted in a gun, if you are interested....

Ed, I agree with Howard!! My only other comment would be that if I don't have a matching magazine, I try to get one that has the correct Waffenamt Markings and in the same suffix block as the pistol. If I don't already have that combination, I may pay a few extra bucks to get one.

I saw a Krieghoff with 1 matching mag go up $1000 when seller discovered he had the missing mag in his mag collection.

Ed, unless I'm mistaken, that's an early mag (pre 1913), as such it carries a little more bang. It's nice to get close, but I never got no disease unless I scored.

Ed I think I would pay that much or more for the right matching mag. Especially an early one like that one. The Erfurt that the guy asked about in a post the other day. And was later seen on ebay. Went for $178.00. It was'nt numbered.

Policeluger: The Vert in your statement in reference to the minty almost Unused Erfurt mag. Means Veritical? - where the serial is the other way not normally seen. If so I would be interested in it can you send me pictures and how much? Thank you. SAM Buscemi my private email is sbuscemi1@hotmail.com

Policeluger: Thank you for contacting me. If you would be kind enought I would like to see the pictures on that mag. Most important are close ups of the retaining pin on both sides and its relationship to the hole in the body. The body and parts and the wood bottom itself. The more pix the better. Maybe tell me how much would be nice too. Thank you - Please send it to my personal email - SAM Buscemi
