Doug Smith of FGS is a big time as well as a long time collector of Lugers once told me that it would be nearly impossible to find a 'mint' Persian artillery. He said that when they wanted to get rid of them on the open market, they just threw them in boxes and shipped them out to market outside their country. No special care was given. No attempt to match magazines or anything. So whenever I see a very nice one, such as the one that is displayed in the above picture, I get very suspicious about a restoration job having been done on it.
