Where does one begin? You may have been misinformed about this luger by someone who also lacks the knowledge and experience. I guess one could begin by saying that this gun is NOT from the Netherlands, the crown/N is a commercial "nitro" proof. Dutch lugers had the word "RUST" stamped where the "GESICHERT" is (Safe in Dutch). On the front of the frame near the attachment of the barrel should be another full serial number, most probably with a lower case letter (the suffix) under it. If so, this gun is most probably the common 1920 commercial parabellum made by the thousands after WW1 by the Bankrupt German Government to gain revenue. The value of this piece is somewhere between $800-1500 depending on its condition. Any pictures?
