Great observations wow. The strap was indeed reattached or replaced. Anyone have ideas regarding the meaning of the writing on the inside of the holster, "F-3138?

I'm meeting with veteran I purchased the pistol from early next month and will ask him some more detailed questions regarding the pistol.

Also, was this typically the holster that was supplied with 1914 commercial Lugers?
