1920 Navy commerical

With the way prices have been going lately, does anyone care to price one. I know whats listed in other posts but I don't think they were close. No pics, need that camera, but all correct for a commerical, 98-99% blue, and just how scarce are these. The asking price is 4k. SWAG's appreciated. Thanks

the 1920 commercial navy Luger is usually a Weimar put together and will frequently have a date on the chamber in spite of the commercial proof mark. The bluing will be the Weimar black arsenal refinish. Because of this it is hard to give a good price. If it has a date on the chamber then I would put it below $3000, maybe $27-2900. If the chamber is bare, then a good condition one might go for $31-3500. If it has a "Cal 9mm" magazine or an original, numbered but not matching navy magazine with it that will make the gun more desirable. Those mags have a price tag in the $250 to $350. A not numbered but concentric circle mag would also be nice. But my above prices would not change my estimates much with these mags. The grips should also be not numbered or proofed.

But prices are all over the map now and these are prices that I would consider if I was buying. A lot depends on how much you really want the gun and what kind of Lugerhead that you are. Some Luger collectors don't mess with Weimar guns. But some do. Some collectors put it in the same catagory as a nicely refinished Luger.

I bought one a long while ago and it was appropriate for an undated commercial Weimar navy Luger (as described above) and I love it as much as I do any of my other navies.
