If we were to accept his description that it was factory threaded at the muzzle for a period vintage Maxim silencer, I think it would useful to refer to the information in 1924 Pacific Arms catalog which I posted on the Member Gallery.
In my opinion, DWM did NOT thread any M1902 Luger Carbine for a Maxim silencer and this job, if original, was done by Pacific Arms in the US in the 1920's. The front page of the catalog shows an LP-08 with mounted with a Maxim silencer. Knowledge and research is king! Albert |
