When I first got interested in Lugers I bought a couple of repro wood bottoms from CMR in England. I used these to replace the black plastic bottoms on Mec-Gar mags for my shooters.
Same grain problem. In fact they look exactly like those pictured above; possibly a common source both for CMR and Numrich. Viggo - Would love to see some pictures of yours. Also, G.T. used to make outstanding wood bottoms, but I am not sure he is still doing this. Luke
