Hello everyone.
I understand that sometimes the last two digits or the pistol are marked in the grips of the pistol. I also understand that sometimes these marks are very thin. Does anyone of you have example images of the back of your grips to really understand where the serials were included?. I see three groups of very small superficial scratches / dings in the internal side of one of my grips. One of these marks resembles me an "Y" Best regards and thank you for your support. Max |

Max,
I just obtained my first luger, a 1918 DWM, a week ago. The seller stated that the grips were not numbered, but on examination under a lighted magnifying glass I found matching numbers on both gtips (Oh joy!). They are about 2.5mm high, upright on the grips and approximately centered. They are lightly struck. I've included a picture of the Left grip number taken with strong side lighting.
