Newby needs help ID'ing 6" Luger

What you have there is a 1970's vintage Mauser reproduction of the Swiss luger manufactured for the American market... A fine gun to start with. There are frequently available NEW in the box for somewhere between $700 and 950 depending on who is selling and who is buying... Used would be somewhere between $500 and the starting price for a new one...

Seems like your specimen has some rust and pitting damage... inconsequential on a shooter, you can clean it up, cause it doesn't look like it would warrant a complete reblue...but hardly worth the value of a new one. I would offer $500 and see where it goes from there...
