Post Replacement magazine info. needed

I would like to know if anyone has put together a list of WW2 replacement magazines? I have searched all my books and seem to find a list of these with the model they are to replace. What would be the correct replacement for a 1941/42? any comments on this would be helpful. Thanks Don

Don, as replacement, you mean the one closest to your gun?

I (of course) look for the exact magazine for my gun, and 2nd best is one from that same time period, the closest the better.

Is it actually a 41/42? In Jan Stills book, it says the 41/42 would have a type 3 Army mag, blued extruded 122 code...

Ed What I mean by replacement magazine is armorers replacement. I have a type 3 s/42,type 3 42,type 3 se655,type 1 de63,type 3 blank fxo,and a type 4 fxo. I was wondering if anyone has seen a type 3 122 replacement? If not what was used? Don

Hi Don, I think I have an original 122 with a blank bottom. I compared it with other 122's in my house and the bottom shape appears correct. However, when I compare it to a fxo blank bottom, it doesn't have the tell-tale mold split line running down the center of the aluminum section.

I can't be certain if it's original, or carefully altered. My guess is that it is original!!

Hope this helps!!

Frank I've been looking for a correct replacement magazine for my 41/42. Would you consider selling it or trade it for another? Thanks Don

Hi Don,

Perhaps you would like to take a look at the replacement mags I have on my web site. They are not for sale, however, unless I happen to have a duplicate.
