Please see my previous post. It is a modified model 1906 that has been reduced in size by cutting down the grip frame and shortening the barrel. The gunsmith that performed this modification also renumbered the frame and barrel to match. It is well done and quite attractive but it is not a 1900 and is not factory original.

Thank you for your response. Definitely interesting and well done. Was not what I expected to hear but definitely makes sense the more I research.
