Frankly, I would want to know the history of the weapon...There may be good reasons for those scars....battle-earned marks are to be respected.

It's a 1911 / 1920 Erfurt. Matching, (incl grips), apart from the magazine, (looking for an appropriate condition Erfurt mag for it as well).

I don't want to touch the original grip, but have the chip filled with an appropriate piece, possibly from my spares. Not trying to hide the damage, but have the fix have similar wear.
