If the stock lug was not ground off, then the frame was not originally issued with the dated receiver. Either an armorer's replacement or a later refit. I used to own a 1914 chamber dated Erfurt with a 1917 frame, all matching serials including the magazine--with one proof mark on the wooden bottom. The receiver was notched to accept the LP08 rear sight as well. Was numbered in the "q" suffix series, so obviously NOT a true 1914.
