Might be the angle on the barrel but needs more checking to me.

I don't have time to do a full photo comparison right now, but on early Old Model pistols the barrel numeral stamps are different from the frame numeral stamps, and the barrel stamp of sn 8911 is broadly consistent with contemporary examples.
