I have a Mauser Banner Luger with a '42' date receiver in the "g" block that has full military contract acceptance marks. I submitted this to the forum when Joop was still with us, and his opinion was that it left the factory that way. Perhaps, toward the end, the factory was using whatever parts they had available in order to fulfil the military contracts, and the banner rather than concealment code toggle pistols were being accepted by the government.
