If the stock had had no holes, it would have made little if any over all difference or performance. Its the lightest part of the gun! I agree. While the Kaiser only had use of one arm, the tiny amount of removed weight from the stock would not amount to much. I agree with Cirelaw that it was done to hold onto the stock during its manufacture. Nothing more.

The Three Holes Are Only A half inch wide!!! Not much weight loss material!
