G date Lugers

Can anyone please tell me how many G date Lugers were made. Were they made by Mauser or other manufacturers too? I'm slowly building up my stock of reference books and will eventually stop asking dumb questions!!!

Hi John F,

According to Jan Still's book, "Third Reich Lugers" a total of 54,070 G-date Mauser Lugers were made during the year 1935. G-date Lugers run from about Serial number 930a to 5000f.

G-dates are my favorite Lugers.
