Myopic science that is based on an agenda is worse than no science at all...
Many of these forests depend on natural fire to periodically clear out dry underbrush and restore the soil's nutrients. That is the way of nature. Laws that interfere with that can only create an opportunity for tragedy. Has California recognized the need for periodic controlled burns, especially in areas that now contain residences?
