I would be very careful and do my homework extremely well, when buying a 9mm 06/29.

Most of the 9mm guns were rebarreled to .30 luger at the factory after tests were done. 9mm barrels were sold separately and used to recreate 9mm pistols many years later.

I have a factory letter inquiring about these conversions in the 1970s somewhere. Will look it up.
